Your VW wiring harness has two plugs. This adapter allows you to connect those two plugs to the stereo wiring. Each wire is color-coded for easy installation (conforming to the standards set by the E.I.A. (Electronics Industry Association).

This wiring harness is used with stereos that have two plug type connectors as illustrated in the installation video for this product. It is not compatible with stereos that have one plug type connector and two pin type connectors.
