Will this GoWesty brake hose fit my Volkswagen Vanagon or Bus, and is it compatible with my bigger front brake kit?

Yes, this brake hose is specifically engineered by GoWesty as a direct replacement for the GoWesty Bigger Front Brake Kit. It fits Volkswagen vehicles from model years 1973 to 1991, including Vanagon and compatible Bus models equipped with the bigger brake kit. If your van uses the GoWesty upgraded front brakes, this hose (part number GWEST-005) is the exact fit you need.

What comes in the box with the GoWesty replacement brake hose, and do I need to purchase anything else for installation?

Each GoWesty brake hose comes with a new banjo bolt and copper crush washers included right in the box, so you have all the essential hardware for a secure, leak-free installation. Keep in mind the hose is sold individually, so for best results and even braking performance, we recommend replacing the brake hoses on both sides of your vehicle at the same time.

How easy is the installation of this GoWesty brake hose, and are there any tips to ensure a reliable upgrade to my bigger brake kit?

Installing the GoWesty brake hose is straightforward if you're comfortable working with your van's brake system. Just be sure to fully bleed the brakes after installation to remove any air, and carefully use the new banjo bolt and copper washers provided for a proper seal. As a best practice, inspect both sides and replace both hoses together to ensure even performance. Rely on GoWesty's expertise—these premium hoses are made to deliver safe, reliable braking for your Vanagon or Bus with the bigger brake kit.
