Will this rear wheel bearing kit fit my Vanagon?

I'm worried about the fit of the inner bearing race on the stub axle. How can I handle this?

The fit between the stub axle and the inner bearing race is designed to be very tight. You may need to use some force or apply heat to install the bearings. Some customers have had success using a heat source or putting the stub axle and bearing in the freezer before installation to help with fitting the bearing. Ensure you have the right tools, such as a bearing driver.

Tech tip: The fit between the stub axle and bearing inner race is designed to be a very slight interference fit (less that .0005”), not a slip-fit. Your used stub axle may be just worn enough for the new bearings to slip right on, but some force and/or heating of the bearings might be necessary-especially if the stub axle is new.
