My windshield washer pump isn't working right. Could this grommet be the problem?

If your original grommet has dried out, cracked, or is showing signs of wear, it can definitely affect the function of your windshield washer pump. This replacement grommet is specifically designed to create a solid seal, ensuring your pump can operate effectively. It's a common failure point, so replacing it is a great first step.

What year and model Vanagons does this washer pump grommet fit?

This grommet is designed to fit all 1980-1991 Vanagon models, regardless of trim, including both 2WD and 4WD versions, and whether you have an automatic or manual transmission. It's a direct fit for the reservoir connection to the windshield washer pump.

Is this grommet difficult to install? I'm not much of a mechanic.

Replacing this grommet is generally a straightforward process. It sits between the windshield washer pump and the reservoir. Most customers find they can easily swap it out with basic tools. The main challenge is usually accessing the pump itself, but the grommet installation is usually just a matter of pushing it into place.

Is this a GoWesty part, or who makes it?

This is a quality aftermarket replacement part, specifically designed for your Vanagon. While not a GoWesty branded item, it's manufactured to meet or exceed the original specifications and ensures a proper fit for your windshield washer pump system.
