How do I know if I need the 130A or 130B coolant hose for my 2WD Vanagon?

Check your Vanagon's year: if it's 1986-1987, you'll want the 251-121-130A hose. For 1988-1991 models, the 251-121-130B fits best. Picking the right one ensures proper fit and function.

Will this coolant hose fit my Syncro Vanagon?

No, this hose is specific to 2WD Vanagons. If you have a Syncro model, you’ll need the different hose part number 251-121-072A designed for Syncro fitment.

Is this hose compatible with all Vanagon body styles like Westfalia and Carat?

Yes! This quality aftermarket hose fits various 2WD Vanagon models from 1986-1991, including 7-Passenger, Campmobile, Carat/Hard Top Weekender, Multivan, and Westfalia Camper editions.

Can I install this coolant hose myself, or should I see a mechanic?

If you’re comfortable with basic engine work and coolant system components, you can install this hose yourself. Just ensure the engine is cool, drain the coolant as needed, and follow standard safety steps. Otherwise, a trusted mechanic can help.

Are these hoses reliable and long-lasting? I've seen mixed reviews about aftermarket parts.

This quality aftermarket hose is well-regarded among Vanagon owners for its durability and proper fit when the correct part number is chosen. Customer reviews often highlight the importance of matching the hose to your model year to ensure reliability.
