Hose for Crankcase Breather Tower

The breather hose on your engine's crankcase breather tower is a very simple yet important contributor to the overall health and good running of your motor. Over time, oil vapor from the crankcase will saturate the hose material, and cause it to collapse and restrict proper crankcase ventilation. This can contribute to a number of issues including excessive oil consumption.

Installation Note:

This hose will only work for 1.9 and 2.1 liter water-cooled Vanagons.

The breather tower has a 19mm barb across all engines, but the opposite end varies based on the air warmer or barb on the air intake boot. For this reason this hose was made longer. If the OD on the intake boot barb is 19mm cut off the larger section of the hose. If the OD is 22mm cut away material from the longer 19mm ID section of hose so it mates up to the breather tower.
