Oil Pressure Relocation Kit for VW Aircooled & Watercooled Flat-Four Engines
Fits: All 1968–79 Bus and 1980–91 Vanagon
Take the hassle out of oil pressure monitoring with this precision-engineered relocation kit. Designed for all air-cooled and water-cooled flat-four VW engines, this kit moves the factory oil pressure switch to a much more accessible location on the firewall—making routine maintenance quicker and easier.
The anodized aluminum manifold includes multiple ports, allowing you to:
• Relocate the factory oil pressure switch
• Install an oil pressure sender (M10x1 thread compatible - VDO 036-001)
• Temporarily check oil pressure with a handheld gauge
When paired with our GW-EFI kit, you can connect an oil pressure sender directly to the ECU via the accessory input wire (light blue/red). Select “OP” on your ScanGauge and instantly view real-time oil pressure data, giving you valuable insight into your engine’s health.
Built for durability and performance, the included high-quality braided stainless steel hose provides excellent heat resistance, flexibility, and leak-free reliability.
Whether you're upgrading for better diagnostics or making future maintenance easier, this relocation kit is a clean, smart solution that adds convenience and capability to your Vanagon.
Bundle options:
• Standard Kit
• Standard Kit w/Pressure Switch
• Standard Kit w/Pressure Switch and Aftermarket Sender
• Standard Kit w/Pressure Switch and Genuine VDO Sender
Do not apply Teflon tape or liquid sealant on the threads. The pressure unit requires metal to metal contact through these threads to establish a proper ground.
