My current muffler is falling apart and looks terrible. Will this new Muffler for my Aircooled Bus make it look and sound better?

Absolutely! This new Muffler is designed to replace crusty, rust-spewing old ones. It will give your Aircooled Bus a much cleaner look. While it's designed to reduce noise, making it quieter and allowing you and your neighbors to sleep better, it's a performance-oriented part so expect a pleasant, not silent, exhaust note.

Will this Muffler fit my 1979 Aircooled Vanagon?

Yes, this Muffler is specifically designed to fit all 1975-1983 Aircooled Bus and Vanagon models. It works with both 2WD models and accommodates various configurations, including Camper/Westfalia, with either automatic or manual transmissions.

I've ordered parts before and they arrived scratched or dented. What should I expect with this Muffler?

It's common for non-stainless steel mufflers, like this one, to arrive with minor cosmetic imperfections such as dents or scratches from the factory packaging and shipping process. Please know that these blemishes do not affect the Muffler's functionality or performance in any way. Its primary goal is to improve your van's exhaust system sound and appearance on the road.

Is this Muffler an original VW part, and is it made of stainless steel?

This Muffler is a quality aftermarket part, not an original VW component. It is made from non-stainless steel. While it's built for durability and performance, it may develop surface rust over time, which is typical for this material. The cosmetic appearance upon arrival may include minor dents or scratches, as noted, but these do not impact its function.
