Will this Sliding Door Handle fit my 1985 Vanagon?

It fits some 1985 models, as well as all 1986-1991 models. If you have a 1985, please measure your current handle from the middle of the key hole to the end; it should be 5.75" to ensure this is the correct part for your vehicle.

Do I have to use new keys, or can I keep my original lock?

This handle comes with keys, but you can also swap your original lock barrel from your old handle into this reproduction part so you don't have to carry an extra key.

Is this handle easy to install on my own?

Yes, customers find it straightforward to install. GoWesty provides an installation video that serves as a great visual guide and confidence booster for those taking the part apart for the first time.

Does this kit include the gasket and mounting hardware?

The handle is sold separately. If you need a new foam gasket or the correct screw to attach the handle to the body, these are available as additional items to complete your installation.
