This is an aftermarket plastic bleeder valve for your 1.9 liter Vanagon. Note: We strongly recommend upgrading to our aluminum version (found here), but if that's not within your budget, this is a viable option.

Please note that all four hoses that attach to this part are no longer available. In fact, there are many 83-85, 1.9 liter Vanagon cooling system parts that are no longer available. The cooling system was completely redesigned in 1986 with the introduction of the 2.1 liter engine. The newer 1986-91 system has fewer parts overall (and, in fact, this bleeder valve was eliminated). For more details on the differences between the various years of VW campers, click here. So, if the rest of your cooling system is original and also on its knees, it might be time to bite the bullet and convert the whole damn thing to the better 1986-91 system.

Fitment note: This bleeder valve will only work on vehicles with manual transaxles. If you need one for your automatic, you will need to purchase the aluminum version.
