Will this Water Pipe fit my Vanagon?

This stainless steel Water Pipe connects the thermostat housing to the oil cooler on 1986–1991 Volkswagen Vanagon models. If your Vanagon falls within those years, this Coolant Pipe is designed as a direct aftermarket replacement and will fit both 2WD and Syncro models with water-cooled engines.

What makes this aftermarket replacement better than the original factory pipe?

Unlike the original factory pipe, which is prone to rust and corrosion, this GoWesty Coolant Pipe is constructed of durable stainless steel. Customers have noted improved reliability and long service life, making it a popular and hassle-free solution for replacing failing or rusted OEM coolant pipes.

Is this pipe easy to install, and what tools or tips should I know?

Yes! This pipe is designed for straightforward installation in place of the original. You'll just need basic hand tools such as hose clamps, sockets, and perhaps pliers. Many customers report a smooth swap with minimal hassle—it's a great DIY project for anyone comfortable working on their Vanagon's cooling system.
