Yes, this aftermarket gasket is specifically designed for the stainless steel coolant elbow on the right head of your Waterboxer engine. It fits all 1983-1991 Vanagon models, including both 2WD and 4WD, Campmobile, Westfalia, and works with both automatic and manual transmissions.

Where exactly does this coolant gasket for the right head go on my Vanagon?

This gasket is used to seal the connection between the stainless steel coolant elbow and the right cylinder head on your Vanagon's Waterboxer engine. It's a crucial seal to prevent coolant leaks in that specific area.

Why is this 'newly fabricated' gasket important for my Vanagon?
