Fuel Pump [Bus & Vanagon]

We are proud to offer two choices of high-quality fuel pumps for fuel-injected 1975-79 Bus and 1980-91 Vanagon vehicles. If you are in the market for a fuel pump that will not let you down, check out one of these two offerings:

1. Genuine Bosch (0-580-463-070). Manufactured in the EU.
2. Aftermarket Reproduction. A less expensive, slightly noisier, but rock solid offering.

Install tip: The original Bosch design featured spade terminals for a press-on electrical connection. This design was not reliable over time, as the spade terminals could easily loosen up and leave you stranded. Both of the pumps we stock now feature an improved threaded post and eyelet design for a positive long-term connection. This design requires cutting the female connectors off your original wiring harness, and crimping on the supplied eyelet connectors.

Installer beware: Changing out any one part of your EFI system that is faulty with a new or rebuilt part may cause worse running because other settings may have changed over time to compensate for the faulty part you are replacing.
