Charcoal Emissions Canister

Simple plug and play replacement on a 1984 vanagon.

All the same, except for the bottom air intake that goes to frame of 90 westfalia.
I added a small air filter 👍

Took alittle work but fit great!

I replaced the check valve & canister as my gas tank would expand & contract due to system plugged from these units. When driving and coming to a stop I would hear a big clunk from the tank suddenly expanding from the influx of air. With these new units it has been fixed.
Easy to replace. Located at right rear tire which needs to be jacked up(no need to remove). Undo clamp & hoses. See check valve review on connecting hose. Hole at bottom is for air intake and original outlet hose goes into frame. This canister hole is bigger and oval so you'll need to come up with alternate fitting and routing.
