This inexpensive aftermarket VW201 tool makes pulling your old oil pump and installing our High-Volume Oil Pump a breeze.
Works with:
• Bus up to and including 1971 with T1 engine
• Vanagon 1983-91 with waterboxer engine
Does not work on:
• 1972-79 Bus
• 1980-83 Vanagon with aircooled engine
Basic directions for use: Remove pump cover and gears. Insert "T" end of the threaded component into the pump. Rotate the "T" end until it grabs the pump body. Position "U" brace against engine block. Slowly and carefully tighten the nut to extract the pump. Caution: The pump body can seize to the block and may damage the puller tool. The application of heat to the pump body and engine block may be necessary.
