The VW Vanagon came in many different suspension heights, from very low (Carat, Wolfsburg edition) to very high (Syncro). These ball joint spacers are a great way to get the suspension back in the adjustable range, especially on lifted 2WD Vanagons. If you are having trouble with alignment and/or front tires wearing badly on the shoulders, try a pair of our spacers. Read more about the spacers here.
Fitment Note: These spacers fit perfectly with most brands of ball joints out there, but we have seen some cases of Delphi brand, in particular where the ball joint top cap was too tall or the mounting holes were offset a bit too far for them to fit properly. We have even seen different iterations from the same manufacturer fit differently. Therefore, we can only guarantee fitment with the Febi/Bilstein joints that we sell.
Kit includes:
• (2) aluminum upper ball joint spacers
• (4) 35mm metric allen bolts - class 12.9 (grade 8 equivalent)
Note: We now offer an even better way to correct your suspension geometry. Try a pair of our All-steel, long-pin, heavy-duty upper ball joint (UBJ) for all Vanagon!
this is my second set, one set for the old Van one for the new one. They work great! I do lots of off roading - these have held up fine
Excellent quality and thoughtful design — highly recommended for fellow van enthusiasts considering a purchase.
Fixed my alignment problems on my Syncro!
Excellent! Well done
I ordered the zero lift springs. Since I have a Tin Top, it ended up raising it at least 1.5" The shop could not get the alignment into specs so this will help!
