This kit will replace the old-school rubber boot type plastic plug and electrical terminals with a modern version that seals the wires individually instead of relying on a rubber boot. This 2-pin plug fits several important Vanagon and Eurovan components.
Over the years, moisture inevitably gets past the rubber boot, corrosion sets in and can wreak havoc on your wiring harness. Many times we see folks replacing various sensors, when in fact it is the connection between the sensor and the harness, not just the sensor, that is actually the issue. Inspect these connectors anytime you are experiencing issues with the items listed below. If you need a fresh connector, we've got you covered!
This plug type is used on various items including:
• Vanagon Coolant Level Sensors
• Vanagon Trans Reverse Sensor
• Eurovan Fuel Level Senders
• Eurovan Engine Compartment Light
• Eurovan Water Pump Connector
• Eurovan Ambient Temperature Sensor
• Fuel Injectors
Fitment Note: We offer two versions of this 2-pin connector. This housing includes two slots to mate with the appropriate sensor or connector. We offer one other 2-Pin connector housing that includes one female slot for the appropriate male sensor to mate. Certain components changed between these two housings for different year ranges and applications. Before buying this connector housing, take a look at the sensor or connector you are going to connect this housing to and verify that it has one or two ridges to mate with and select the proper housing.
This connector includes wires that have been pre-installed and sealed in the housing. Double-check that this connection is secure before simply snipping out your hold connector and using the supplied butt crimp connectors to connect the new connector housing.
